Balancing Shades of White

There are over 100 different shades of white, spanning the spectrum from cool to warm tones. Allied’s Color Specialist and Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer Ann Morris, CMKBD, CAPS, CFYH, worked with our client to create this gorgeous white kitchen remodel in Plantation, Florida.

Traditional Beginnings…

Our client desired to change from a traditional kitchen to a transitional space (with a touch of glam!), creating a smooth transition of neutral colors and metallics from her living room area into the kitchen.

A Transitional Look…

Ann carefully selected a color scheme that would balance the warm tones of the tile flooring throughout the house, compliment the color of the wainscoting and balance the overall look and feel of the home.

Adding cool stainless steel appliances, cool white cabinetry and countertops with a cool grey island, helped to neutralize the warm tones in the tile flooring–resulting in a balance between a glamorous Parisian grey trend and a warm toned floor. Adding shaker style Omega Cabinetry in Pearl White, Ann carefully added a white and grey backsplash with a grey island to add touches of color.
